Criteria for happenings

No requests for money
Happenings have a need for hands, skills and expertise. Requests for financial support are not admitted.
Well-being of vulnerable groups

The well-being of children, animals and other vulnerable groups is unquestioned. Orphanages, animal tourist initiatives are among those that are not admitted to the platform.

Presence local stewards

Every happening requires one or more stewards to be present at the location for instructions and personal meet when a fellow comes to assist.

In case of happenings with vulnerable groups a steward needs to be in the vicinity of the fellow at all times.

Communication

Before working together, contact takes place via our app. A chat function is available between local stewards and fellows.

Local stewards must frequently check the app for new chats, join requests, and other information.

No replacements of local jobs
Our platform enables local communities and NPOs to ask for help where they cannot find it locally. Support should never come at the expense of opportunities for local citizens.
No profit-driven organisations

We do not allow profit-driven companies or commercial activities like ticket sales and paid tours on our platform

No accommodation

We do not encourage members to travel, but to give back wherever they are. This means that local stewards are not allowed to offer free accommodation.

Sustainable happenings

The nature of each project is related to a minimum of one of the goals of the United Nations (SDG).
